, ,Summary: LBM Advantage is seeking a Department Manager to lead our Forest Products team in our Conroe, TX office. In this role, you’ll drive sales growth, manage budgets and P&Ls, lead a team of Traders and also manage a portfolio of accounts directly. You’ll build strong relationships with members and vendors, identify new business opportunities, and implement strategies to expand market presence.
Essential functions:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate team to achieve sales goals
- Develop and execute sales and business strategies
- Manage budgets, P&L, and departmental performance
- Maintain relationships with members and vendors
- Handle assigned accounts directly, as needed.
- Provide the highest level of support and service to the LBM Advantage members
- Work closely with other Forest Products Managers to ensure alignment, collaboration, and consistent execution of the division's overall mission and goals.
- Travel as needed for member/vendor visits, trade shows, and regional meetings
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position oversees a team of seven employees, including both in-office and remote staff
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

Full-time, in office, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours/week)

Primarily local; some overnight and out-of-area travel required
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma
- Minimum 5 years of sales and buying experience
- Minimum 2 years of management experience
- Experience in the lumber and building materials industry
- Strong business acumen and relationship building skills
- Results-driven, strategic thinker with excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- College degree
